What experience do I need to own a beer garden with Dacha Beer Garden?

Our ideal beer garden owners are visionaries who see what we see when they look at a property, who understand the importance of a sustainable product, and share our philosophy of inclusivity. We seek financially qualified people with a vision in mind for a pre-selected open space in an urban community, that would be well-suited for a Dacha Beer Garden. Preferred candidates come from hospitality management fields and are willing to work hard to bring the vision to life. Our beer gardens are fun, simply elegant, and welcoming to all people. Our franchise owners must possess a mindset for welcoming all guests and for business growth.

What is provided as part of the Dacha Beer Garden program?

Once your site is approved and you’re awarded a franchise, you will have access to online training and you and three others will spend approximately ten days with us at Dacha Beer Garden in Washington, D.C. to train in the classroom and on the job. Remote and onsite support, plus as-needed follow-up training, are also provided. In addition, you will have access to our exclusive confidential operations manual to help run your beer garden properly on a day-to-day basis.

How much will it cost to own a beer garden with Dacha Beer Garden?

The projected investment for a franchise is between $1,730,000 and $2,670,000 per location. This includes a $35,000 initial franchise fee for a single unit agreement. As with any new venture, it’s important to have adequate capital to fund the initial growth stages.

Is financing available?

We do not provide direct financing to franchise owners, but we may refer to financing sources on a case-by-case basis.

Are there ongoing fees to pay?

We charge a royalty fee equal to 5% of adjusted gross sales, and a technology fee of $150 per week (which may be increased to up to $300 per week). Fees such as these allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of product and supply channels, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades. Are there any advertising fees?

Dacha Beer Garden franchise owners will contribute up to 3% of adjusted gross sales into the system marketing fund, and will be required to spend at least 1% of adjusted gross sales on local marketing. Collected funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the Dacha Beer Garden brand.

What is the term of the agreement?

The initial term of your agreement is ten years, with two subsequent successor agreement options of five years each, reflected accordingly in the real estate agreement for your location.
